Synergy Route Analytics

Overview

Analyze your Route Data to Optimize

Synergy Route Analytics is a service provided by Enaptive in which we work with you to assess your current operating environment including the routes taken by your drivers to model improvements. We usually see potential savings in the range of 5% to 25% in pickup and delivery routes upon completion of a Synergy Route Analytics engagement.

Here are some of the key steps taken to analyze your routes:

  • Determines how much potential savings could be accomplished with the Synergy City Dispatch and Routing System. This is usually a one time study to assist a carrier in determining whether Route Automation and Mobile Data will be economically justified. The output reports and graphic maps from the P&D Study are manually reviewed with the local operation in order to determine the projected savings. The terminal being analyzed should keep their manual cards, manifests or whatever can be used as the basis for comparisons.
  • Design static routes based upon statistical averages and probability using the carrier’s past freight bill history.
  • Perform a route study on the prior days business to help local management improve their decisions on future days.

Our map-based modeling software analyzes such factors as drive time, stop time and handling allowance standards, and customer specific issues including time factors and volume freight. The outcome of this study will help you identify areas of your current routing system that can be improved to provide cost and labor savings. The simulation can also provide tools to do some “what ifs”.

For example, you could tell the model to allow all drivers to work a ten or eleven hour day versus eight. Additionally, you could use all 45 foot equipment rather than pups or city trucks and see the impact. These “what ifs” can improve your load factor on profits!

Enaptive usually sees potential savings ranging from 5% to 25% in Pickup and Delivery. You will usually achieve another 3% to 5% reduction in dock costs.
