Synergy Pickup and Delivery
Overview
Technology for utilizing real-time Communications with Drivers and Mobile Workers
using Rugged Handheld or Smartphone Devices
Capture pickup and delivery events as they happen and eliminate most time-consuming
voice communications using the Synergy P&D Phone.
With the Synergy Pickup and Delivery Technology you can:
- Upload the driver’s stops to the phone
- Capture completions and exceptions on deliveries
- Capture Pro pieces, weight and destination zip on pickups
- Send new pickups to drivers as they are received
- Track and record the location of the driver using GPS on graphical maps
- Communicate with short “canned” messages instead of voice
All this can be done using routes supplied by Synergy Dispatch or other systems.
Pickup and Delivery Editions
Java Edition. This version runs on Java(tm)-enabled cell phone devices. Java-enabled
cell phones are frequently much less expensive than other phone devices but often
at the cost of lower functionality. This edition can be great if the devices need
to be deployed to a large number of works who don’t need the functionality available
from other more expensive devices.
Windows Mobile Edition. This version runs on Microsoft(r) Windows Mobile enabled
devices. These devices range in price from the lowest being devices available through
local mobile service providers to more industrial/rugged devices from companies
such as Intermec(r), DataLogic(r), Motorola(r), Opticon and others.
BlackBerry Edition. This version runs on RIM Blackberry devices. These devices tend
to be already deployed and easily available. If your enterprise runs on BlackBerry,
this might be the correct option since it will require no additional hardware saving
considerable upfront capital expenditure.
Other Options
Synergy Dispatch. Pair the Pickup and Delivery technology with Synergy Dispatch
for automatic integration, or we’ll work with you to integrate the technology with
your existing dispatch or workflow infrastructure.
Synergy Maps -Receives GPS positions from drivers and plots them on a graphical
map (optional). The maps can also be viewed from the web.
We also supply background processes that handle communication between phones and
your office, as well as verifying and translating information to Synergy Dispatch
or your existing system. Some customization is usually required.
